CommScope’s FOSC600 XL fiber-optic splice closure (FOSC) offers enhanced density capabilities over the earlier 600 D series while maintaining its rugged, versatile outside plant (OSP) design.

A high-density enclosure to support 3,456 fiber cables with in-field butt splicing.

THE CHALLENGE:

FOSC600 XL enclosure: Double the density

Trimmable, preformed rubber grommets that accommodate up to three cables

Features four double-sized outside plant (OSP) ports on top and four on the bottom, plus 18 intra-facility cable (IFC) ports on each side

Includes 36 FOSC C tray splice drawers, each accommodating up to 288 fibers—for a total of 10,368

Relocated clamp mounting increases available space

The simplified design of CommScope’s FEC-10K splices more than 10,000 cables in a compact, secure, high-density form factor that can be mounted on a wall at work height. This streamlined design improves usability while increasing density.

CommScope’s floor-mounted fiber entrance cabinet high-density splice bay solution provides user-friendly access to up to 11,520 fibers—double the count of our previous solutions—with its intuitive cable entry and breakout design.

The enhanced high-density (EHD) panel is a prestubbed fiber-optic connector panel designed for a direct-connect or interconnect environment. Designed for ultra low-loss cables and modules, it’s designed to offer maximum density and maximum accessibility, with faster deployments than nonstubbed panels.
